Financial Literacy

OFCU knows it is important to help teach the youth of our communities about how to handle, budget and save their money. Every year we do financial literacy presentations to hundreds of students at area high schools. If you are a teacher and/or student and are interested in having OFCU come to your school, please email the Marketing Department at [email protected].

OFCU has partnered with GreenPath Financial Wellness! To provide you with access to debt management services, and free one-on-one financial counseling and financial education tools. GreenPath has been empowering people to live financially healthy lives since 1961. We encourage you to look around our website to get a feel for all of the financial wellness resources available to you. We’re glad you’re here and we look forward to working with you!
Check out additional resources and tools here.

OFCU has also taught a college financial budgeting workshop to 26 TRIO Students on Saturday, September 29th at Alamogordo High School. New Mexico State University’s TRIO Upward Bound Program serves Alamogordo High School, as one of their target schools. The Program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in pre-college performance and ultimately in higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families, and/or high school students from families in which neither parent holds a Bachelor's degree. The program is 100% funded through grants by the U.S. Department of Education.
